20 pcs. electric buses are already servicing the passengers in Varna - delivered by Avto Engineering Holding Group

The vehicles are manufactured by the Chinese company Golden Dragon, established on 4 continents. In addition to Bulgaria and China, Golden Dragon electric buses also run in Germany, the Netherlands, Israel and Mexico and are delivered to more than 120 customers in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Golden Dragon's first electric bus was put into operation in 2008, and 4 years later deliveries began outside the Chinese market.

 

In 2015, Golden Dragon's all-aluminum electric bus, designed together with a Dutch company, won the Best Ecological Award at the BUSWORLD exhibition in Belgium. In 2018, the company began the first tests of an autonomous electric bus, and a year later it became the first Chinese manufacturer to successfully pass such tests on a closed track in Israel. In addition, Golden Dragon's electric buses have European type approval and successfully passed tests according to the SORT methodology (Standardized Life Cycle Road Test). These are requirements for the European market that not all Chinese companies manage to cover.
