The Bulgarian municipalities and forestries are getting ready for the fire danger season

One of the successful examples in the recent years is from the municipality of Dobrich, which covers the rural areas around the district center.

There, the local government makes good use of European funding opportunities and organizes a public procurement entitled "Purchase and supply of equipment to mitigate the negative effects of natural and other disasters". Thus, the municipality acquires specialized fire safety equipment. Roller container with fire-fighting equipment and loading and unloading device type "hook-lift", 2 pcs. off-road command and staff vehicles and drones for air inspection of the affected areas are only part of the supplies. They are delivered under the project "Joint risk management and partnership in the border region Calarasi-Dobrich", under the program INTERREG V-A Romania-Bulgaria 2014-2020.

 

The company executing the project is Avto Engineering Holding Group, which for almost 20 years has been a leader in the supply of specialized equipment for emergency services in the country, incl. high class fire trucks and firefighting equipment.

 

In the recent years, as a global trend in extinguishing forest and field fires, it has become necessary to use fast and maneuverable light trucks "pick-ups" and UTVs, characterized by high passability and reliability when working on rough and crossed terrains. Avto Engineering Holding Group has created an entirely new product group Shumcar™, for the sector "Forest and field fires" - a mobile high-pressure fire extinguishing system", said for OFFNews Julian Dimov, owner of the company for specialized equipment.

 

His colleague Eng. Leonardo Stoyanov, technical director of Avto Engineering Holding Group, points out that development and innovation are strongly represented in the company. He is the leader of the team of engineers and designers of Avto Engineering Holding Group, whose work is the innovative modular system.

 

"We started the production of mobile fire extinguishing systems in 2015 and over the years we have managed to develop them as a modular mobile systems not only for extinguishing fires, but also for responding to various types of natural crises. This allows a vehicle to be technically adapted to solve various problems. Can be used in forest fires as well as in floods, snowstorms and earthquakes. Each module can be easily replaced with another according to purpose and needs. After the start of the pandemic caused by COVID -19, based on Shumcar™, a module for disinfection of large areas was developed", he says.

 

The lack of such a solution on the Bulgarian market so far and knowledge of global trends and good practices in the sector, was the basis of our desire to create a unique and high-end product under the motto "Made in Bulgaria". And when the strong will of firefighters is combined with good equipment, then the rescue combination is obtained, adds Julian Dimov.
