Avto Engineering Holding Group Delivers Equipment for 5 Pilot Centers for Hazardous Waste Collection and Storage

Avto Engineering Holding Group equips all five centers with the highest class of containers for hazardous waste storage complying with all European and world standards for this specific type of storage.

In addition to the equipment for the premises, forklifts, scales and trolleys were also delivered to facilitate the activities at the sites. These centers are the first of their kind in Bulgaria and will be operational in the second half of 2019.

A 360 000 people in more than 150 settlements in 22 Bulgarian municipalities will be covered by the new service - separate collection of hazardous household waste. Mercury thermometers, medicines and expired preparations, paints and varnishes will be able to be transmitted free of charge at the newly constructed centers or mobile centers.

For the first time in the territory of all the 266 municipalities in the country, a comprehensive study of the generated municipal waste is being carried out. By the end of 2019, the quantities and morphological composition of municipal waste in the country will be known.
